Absolutely.
It helps to have an open mind and actually hear what other people are saying.
Doesn't mean you have to agree, but if you at least listen to the other side of things this website is constantly teaching me.

No, but it certainly has taught me more than I ever thought it would about pregnancy and parenting. Honestly, LIF is an invaluable resource for pregnant girls and new parents. Where else can you go to find so many people in the same boat at the same time? It's great!

I agree it taught me so much about parenting and I probably would not have gotten through my pregnancy without the ladies on the board. NFR...haven't learned so much. But lots of times, I do know exactly how a thread will play out before anyone even replies.

to answer seriously - i lurk on TTC, parenting and pregnancy and i have learned so much! When it comes time to TTC i will be much more prepared bc of this site.
I have even given advice from here to the parents in my life!

I think I have learned a ton on TTC (I had no clue about certain things before LIF), Pregnancy and have learned alot from the moms on Parenting before I even got to that board.

On the IF board, pregnancy, pets and now parenting -- yes, a TON. On NFR and celebrity gossip -- yes, to a certain extent. I get news faster from here than from anywhere else!
And I've met some awesome women who have also taught me a lot!

It taught me how many stars are on the flag.
But seriously, in general I am realizing how little most people know about politics and history.
I have learned a lot about other areas though...LIW was a tremendous resource when wedding planning, and it does seem like the TTC and Parenting boards are a wonderful resource.

Yes!
I have been through the TTC, Pregnancy, and now Parenting boards and I have learned SO MUCH from everyone I was/am on the boards with.
I also find myself on the Celebrity boards more often now as well and once in a while on Pets.

I have learned a lot on the Pets, IF, and TTC boards.
I have also gotten alot of different viewpoints on hot topics and while it may not have totally changed my opinion, there are times when it's opened my eyes to how others see something.

I agree - and for me, Parenting and Pregnancy are an absolutely invaluable resource. I feel like I have the book of knowledge on Parenting, just because of all the ladies on that board!
