Un freakin believeable...I need a new car!

I hate my car...with a passion! 3 weeks ago...$1200 on new brakes...today it overheated and there is also something wrong with the transmission.

The car is only 5 years old! It's a '02 VW Golf. This really really blowsChat Icon It is never ending with this car and it has been since I got it. So today was the last straw.Chat Icon

Re: Un freakin believeable...I need a new car!

well, at this point, its not about realibe..
its about serviceing the vechicle..

no car should ever need that much worth of repairs just on brakes alone.

there are metal sensors at the end of brakes pads...once you hear them when you brake, you pretty much have a month of so to get in and change them. once the pad is gone, your brakeing metal on metal and ruining your rotars (put that turns the wheel)
Thats where alot of the cost comes in.
Brake pads alone depending on vechicle can be had around avg of 30 bucks. The service is what kills you.

How old is the car and what is it primarly used for? I ask for use because we have a lease which we take out when we go out together (dw) and we just have a work car which we rarely drive on purpose to some place due to the condition.

I use it for going back and forth to work (hour each way) and for everyday life I guess

jeez, Kathleen, I remember you posting on LIW about all the problems you had with your car! Good riddance to it! Sorry you have to go through the headache, but it will be fun to have a new car!
