Bridal shower and Budget help

I'm planning to have a small(abt 20 ppl) bridal shower for my daughter in Aug and I'm on a VERY tight budget. I looked up a few places on line and it seems prices are anywhere from $29-$39. plus tx & tip. Which adds up pretty quickly.

I than checked out the Chinese buffet in Ronkonkoma and the prices are very reasonable (cheap). Would you consider something like this a nice place for a small shower?

Has anyone gone to or had a party at a place like this? If so, were you happy with your decision?

TIA

I had my sisters baby shower at Irish Times Pub in Holbrook. It was 4 years ago but the price was about $20 per person...and the food was fantastic!!!

Its a bar/restaruant but they have a sperate room for the parties

A co-worker had hers in the Chinese Buffet in Islandia nad it was great. I was not sure how it would be in a buffet place but they did a great job, had a seperate room for us. You really didnt feel like you were in a Chinese resturant. I think it would be great. Good Luck.

1st of all is there anyone's house you can do it at? If you stick to a budget you can do a inexpensive shower in a home. Just get some hot trays from a local deli or restaurant or if you feel up to it make something yourself & make a nice salad.

I'm not sure what town your looking at but here are some inexpensive places I found.
$18pp @ Crossroads in East Northport

$18 & up pp @ Red Dish in Commack

$20 pp @ F.H Riley's in Huntington village
or
$16 pp cocktail pty @ F.H Riley's (He is REALLY nice & may be worth giving a call. I'm SURE he will work with you!)

$22.95 @ Orlandos in Commack

Hope I helped. & to answer your question... I'm sure it would be nice at a Chinese buffet. As long as the service it good & there is a nice atmosphere it will be fine!

I am not sure where you are but my shower and my parents 25th anniversary party were at Sal's Place in Massapequa and they have very reasonable packages

Sal's Place

I also think a shower in a house is always very nice

I went to my friend's baby shower at the Chinese place in Ronkonkoma, on Portion with the blue and white sign right?

It was okay but I think at a house like others suggested might be more intimate and appropriate. The people of course matter more than the place but I would honestly keep looking. Chat Icon JMHO
