Does Linen Shrink in the wash
I bought this pair of pants and I didn't try them on. When I went to wear them they were too long, so I went and had them hemmed. Now that they are hemmed I realized that they are too big, so I can't return them. I really don't want to pay to have them taken in.
Today I pinned them with a safety pin and the pin just popped out.
Can I shrink them in the wash?

Hmmm. I am not sure. Maybe you can have the waist altered to fit better.
I know it seems like my pants always shrink after I eat.

I think it will shrink in warm water or in the dryer... I used to wash mine in cold water and hang them to dry and they never shrunk.
I think if you wash them in warm water, they will shrink.

Linen absolutely does shrink in the wash!! Especially if you also put them in the dryer.
