I am beaming right now!
I put Gracie into bed tonight! I did her routine!!!  DH set me up with a walkie talkie and when I needed him to move her out of my arms from the glider to the crib, he did. It worked and she only fussed for a minute.
You all cannot possibly understand what is like not to hold you daughter for almost four weeks. Tonight was the first time since the night before my heart surgery that I read her a quick story and rocked her to sleep in her glider, by myself pretty much. Not her dad, not her Nana, her grandpa, her aunt, Uncle, etc. HER MOMMY put her to bed tonight! 
Girls, I have tears in my eyes as I write this. I am so thankful to be alive, to be Gracie's mom, to be the one who tucked her into bed and rocked her to sleep. Of course I am tired and I am in a little pain after holding her but the pain was worth every minute. In fact the four weeks of pain, the surgery, all of it, was worth it. God, I am so thankful. I am still recovering and I have a cardiologist appointment in two weeks, but no doctor's news, no pain, no scar can take away what I feel right now.
I am so ecstatic; I just had to share and write it down.
