What do I want for my birthday?
Ugh! My birthday is next week and my parents and DH have been asking what I want and I don't have a clue. Last year was the big 3-0 so I got some nice jewelry and a nice watch. This year I don't really need anything and I have been so wrapped up in being a mom and shopping for cute things for DD that I haven't given much thought to what I might like for me.
Please make suggestions to inspire me. I don't want to have a repeat of Mother's Day where I told DH that I couldn't think of anything that I wanted so he got me nothing for my first Mother's Day. Remind me of nice things that I may like...

What about an experience with DH...Tickets to a show or a weekend away.
When I'm in that situation I know I'd rather not have them throw money away for things I didn't really want.

how about going to a Play in the city and to a nice dinner.
E.T.A... Play's that are good Mama Mia from what i heard and Phantom of the Opera which I saw and loved. i am sure there are other good plays out there but i cant think of them.

I agree- a nice spa day would be perfect for you to relax a bit and THEN go to the city to see a play or to a nice dinner (or both)

When I don't need/want anything I ask for massages from the place that I go to. I have two GC's left from xmas. I got 5 in total.

This year for my birthday I couldn't think of what I wanted. DH totally surprised me by buying me a gift certificate to a nice spa for the exact amount of one of their packages. It was such a great idea and it was nice, because I get to pick when I use it, since it's a gift certificate. I can't wait to use it!
