Anyone have the Lexus RX
im thinking of leasing it this month or right after the wedding
im between that one and the BMW x3 but my fiance is urging me to get the Lexus bc he only deals with Toyotas and they are the same manufacterer....
opinions on the Lexus Rx vs BMW x3?

the lexus is bigger then the X3
if I had to chose I would go with the lexus
1- b/c it's a toyota- I have a german car and it gets $$$$$
2- b/c it's bigger
but go and compare the lease rates and if someone is going to give you free maintaince - oil changes etc- that makes a big difference

oh in case then go with the X3- as long as they still have the free maintance- which I know they did in 2004- b/c I almost got the 3 series- but let my DH talk me into a mercedes- which I pay thru the roof on maintaince
I think the X3 will be cheaper- the generally compare the Lexus to the X5 in terms of price- I think the lexus is in the high $40s and the X3 should be about $10K less- I had the consumer reports thing on my desk comparing Lux SUVs this week- and clearly remember the lexus being listed around the same price as my SUV (and I was hoping it was less- b/c I was thinking that might be my next one)

i have the hybrid version of the RX - but i like it a lot more than the x3 - my parents have one
lexus takes great care of the car - its had no problems in the 2 years we've had it
the rx seems to have less blind spots thent he rx - also has abigger back and the seats lay perfectly flat when they go down which s easy for moving big stuff

Test drive both of them.
You will not be able to compare the handling of the lexus to the X3. The way that a BMW drives is incredible and can not be beat. But that may not be an important factor for you.
BMW's also have the free maintance plan so you will never spend a dime on an oil change, breaks, wipers etc. You will also pick up your car nice and clean because a car wash is part of the service!
Check out X3 World Run a search and I am sure there are people that can be a little more specific on pro's and con's. It is a very active website. You can even post there and I am sure you will get a ton of replies. They help me out a ton when I got my X5.
As you can see I am a BMW fan!

I have the Lexus and I LOVE IT!! It's the best care I ever owned (and it should be for the $$$  ). I feel like I am driving on a cloud. It is extremely safe and I will never ever get rid of it.
ETA: We tested out the BMW's too and I wasnt a fan of them. JMO.
