If you are looking for a good burger place to go to, I recommend Rare
There's one on Lex and 37th and another on Bleeker. They have all different kinds of burgers - including ones made out of steak. It's really good and nicer than regular burger places.
ETA: They just don't have cupcakes!!!!
I LOVE Rare!!! They also have sangria so between the burgers and that, I am in heaven there!!

I've never been here, but my sisters have and they said it's "ok". I've definitely been in the space when it was home of NYC's 1st Krispy Kreme.  I lived down the block for 8+ years. 
On another note, is "Trailer Park" still there? They had the best sweet potato fries.
