Is Whole Foods worth the trip?
It is not exactly right around the corner but I was wondering if it is worth the trip.
  TIA
We are looking for more Organic Products.

They certainly have a great selection, but you'll pay out the nose for it. Still, I love going to the one close to our house every now and then just to check out the great wines (which aren't that bad in price), cheeses and other goodies.

I think so. I love that store. They also have traditionally grown produce along with organic as well.
I personally prefer Wild by Nature in Huntington though. Their meats (organic) are much nicer and their selection is fantastic.

Well, actually it is right around the corner from me and i never go there! Personally I am not a huge fan but they do have good meat, produce, fish and cheese. as far as the other all-natural/organic products - i dont really buy or use them.

To me it is..I used to work near one and now I miss it dearly I may take a trip out there one of these Saturdays. I love their tuna and cranberry salad.

BTW, if you have a shop rite or a stop & shop near you, they have pretty decent sized Organic sections (produce, frozen and more), and b/c they are a larger store they have decent prices too.
I'd also recommend Fairway if you are convenient to Plainview.

Whole Foods will put a big hole in your pocket. Overpriced.

Re: Is Whole Foods worth the trip?
I love whole foods... but i also can walk to the one near me.
We don't go there for much because of the $$$, but the produce selection is outstanding, and you can get some great stuff for grilling!

Re: Is Whole Foods worth the trip?
If you're going soley for organic produce, then it's overpriced and not worth the hike.
If it's organic meat/poultry/fish - it's worth the drive time and money.
I'm a fan of Whole Foods, despite their prices -- but I have to shop there because so few places can accomodate my needs with all of my food allergies.
