Don't these kids have parents?

We had this issue last summer with a house in back of us. These kids are out and carrying on at all hours of the night! Where are their parents?????

ITA! down the block from my parents house was a teenager and when his parents were on vacation one week he had parties like every night and they would flow out into the streets and would sit on neighbors cars, lawns, etc. my parents were friends with this kids parents so i didnt want to start anything. but i anonymously called the police on them....and the parties suddenly stopped! Teenagers I believe! We called the police several times last year. I could never really pinpoint the house but I know which block it is. I cannot tell if they are drinking or not! BUT where are their parents??? It sounds like more than a couple of kids!

If you aren't sure which kids they are I would keep calling the police. Here in CA the parents get billed by the PD if they have to keep going out and breaking up a party or excessive disturbing the peace! Sorry you have this going on. Chat Icon

They probably lied to their parents about where they were going, or snuck out. I wouldn't blame the parents. Don't all teenagers do this? I know I did. Keep calling the police, that is the only thing that worked for me and my friends.

Thanks Ladies...the noise has seemed to stop! And I didn't even get to call the Police yet. Thanks for all the advice, I am sure this will be going on throughout the summer!Chat Icon

The parents are probably home and the kids are probably done with school. There are only 2 more exams today.

I would say the parents may be extremely permissive. I had a friend in high school and her parents used to buy us alcohol and let us have parties at their house at LEAST once a week. They felt that if we were drinking at partying in a 'controlled' environment - then we wouldn't do it somewhere more dangerous.

I also had a friend who had really oblivious parents. If his parents went out of town for the night, or on vacation - guess where we were? And guess what we were doing?

This is just ONE of the things that scare me about my kids growing up.
