OK...Help us...
me and my sister that is (kdelace)
our friend has cancer and has some pretty ***-kicking chemo every two weeks. I think she has 8 sessions left...
I wanna do a countdown like 12 days of Christmas...and get her presents for each chemo treatment...
the one I am sure of is:
<<sings>>ONE BOTTLE OF PATRON for when she is done (or an even more expensive bottle of tequila)
maybe 6 cupcakes from Magnolia
stuff like that...wanna make her look forward to it on days she dreads...
I need ideas...it's a numbers thing,
so who's got an idea for 8...want it to be kickass so we can start off with a bang.
help us out

Can she have manicures?
Maybe a gift cert. for bi weekly manicures for the rest of the treatment, so 8 manicures?
Maybe she can get the manicure o the off week without the Chemo?

Not to be a bubble buster, but chemo supresses your immune system and mani's and pedi's are a very easy way to gett sick.
Maybe it''s different for the person you know but I STILL haven't been given the aok by my oncoloogist (and trust me, I have asked..A LOT)

Mac is a good idea- Does her cancer center have a program called "Look good, Feel better"
If so, she could take that and do wonders with GOOD makeup

Dunkin Donuts has a way that you can put whatever picture you want on a GF, maybe you guys can take a recent pic together and do that?
What about (insert ANY number here) books of puzzles/crosswords/wordfinds type book. I had 8 hours worth of chemo and it helped keep my mind off watching the clock.
Make a meal/bring a meal over (8 slices of pizza)
It's important to stay hydrated during chemo, the docs were always making me choke down water...what about different waters? Flat and sparkling and nutrition and flavored. I also had about 5 or 6 different flavors of gatoraid as my tastebuds were always changing
Is she feeling fatigue? The exhaustive kind? If so maybe a stress pillow and sleep mask? with a relaxation cd

You stated she is losing her hair and she is picky on scarves...what about hats? I have a hat I got from Dana Farber Cancer institute. It's called a "hat of hope" inside it has a few sayings of inspration and on the inside rim, I read
H O P E I wear this had almost all the time (It's the pink one you guys see in pictures and also where Sigh. Sob. Scream. Laugh. Repeat. saying came from.) Another saying is
"Women are like teabags, you never know how strong they are until they're in hot water>' That was Eleanor Roosevelt

Does she have a home? Maybe you can pay for a cleaning service to come in and clean her place for a few weeks for her.
Or what about the catered meal places, the ones where you go and pick up the ingredients for a full meal so there is less prep and she doesn't have too cook?

Mac up is AOK.
Although, if she does the class, she will get some free. I got a red shoulder type bag with doactions of makeup in it from mac, elizabeth arden, revlon, estee lauder, aveda, bobbi brown, clarins-paris, avon and others
