Sorry but... (a vent)
I just ate at the Cheesecake Factory.....Once was more than enough for me, the only reason I went was because I had a GC.....I think that might have been the most horrible meal I have ever had and the service was just as bad.THAT place is beyond gross!

I hate taht place. Its soo overrated.
Went there a few times and gave up waiting...it was practically like a fight woudl break out with all the people pushing and shoving while waiting.
Went once during the day and ate there. Couldnt believe THIS is what the hoopla was about.
Still hear people rave of it. Decided to try it again, and again, hated it.
IT was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO noisy!!! And DHs food was ICE cold, we had to send it back. We had a huge wait time b/w getting the appetizer and our dinner.
So overated. Then my mom got a GC from someone so I bought two cheescakes for a holiday party we had. They were far from worth $25 bucks each. I was very disappointed.
I cant say I hate this place enough.

I still haven't gone there. My mom went and said that it looks cook inside but the food isn't as great as everyone raves about.

we went because we had a GC but I dont like waiting 45m mins - 2hrs to eat...IMO no restaruant is worth it!!  even if the peanut butter cheesecake tastes like heaven on a plate!!!

We went for lunch and had no wait at all. Our food was delicious...Had the chicken madeira which I loved. Food was piping hot and came within 15 minutes. In the meantime we were given second helping of steaming hot bread.
I wouldn't have waited to eat there though...Going at lunch seems like much better with wait time/temp. of food.
I don't take offense at all, just pointing out that I had a different experience going during a weekend lunch.

I like the restaurant but not enough to wait for 2 hours! One time I was there and there were several people literally sleeping on the floor they had been waiting so long.

I really like cheesecake factory, but I would never wait 2+ hours. Whenever we go we go at off times, I have never had to wait more than 15-20min.
As with everything else, everyone has different experiences and opinions.

I agree with this. I believe its the time you go. We never really ate dinner there . We go for lunch (get there early..like practically when they open) and the service is great and food is hot. I would never, ever wait 2 hours....We did go late one day (late meaning like 3:30-4:00..late lunch..and had about a 20 min. wait..not bad at all)

I usually go for lunch. They make great salads and a really really good vanilla bean cheesecake!
ETA: Sorry you had a horrible experience!  Especially with such a wait! That would annoy me too.

We ordered take out from there when Smithaven first opened. My BIL ordered wings and they were RAW! Totally raw on the inside-we were all so grossed out and complained

It's okay, but definitely not worth waiting more than 10-15 minutes. Best thing is their cheesecake...the food is just alright. My IL's like it & so they've taken us.

same here. We'll go for an early dinner, but the new one in Lake Grove is fine and no long waits, even at lunch.
