Question
ive had a headache/migraine for two full days now.
how in the world do you get rid of them besides pills? how long can they last? i am in soooooooo much pain

I've never been able to get rid of them w/o either Imitrex(prescription) or Excedrin Migrane which works very well. Lay in a dark, quiet,cool room . I hope you feel better

ususally caffiene helps migraines. excedrin migraine helps. i stay out of the sun, take an excedrin migraine, put a damp washcloth on my head and try to fall asleep. also try to drink coffee too.

I get them from the birth control pill - if you are on the pill maybe switching to a different one would help.

try to drink water. Are you detoxing from anything...that is are you giving up anything like caffeine, cigarettes, etc? If so it could be a detox headache & a warm bath in Epson Salt can help.
I hope you feel better.

The only thing that works for me IS medication(imitrex). Migraines suck

I get migraines, here are things I do:
take 3 advil
take a hot shower and let the water run over your face
drink water
sleep but don't over sleep
relax

Can you try the Excedrin Migraine? It really does help. Take it easy
excedrin rocks- take 2- your headache will be gone in 20 min

thank you guys, if this happens again i will try all of these things.
dh got home and brought me a bunch of extra strength tylenol. i gobbled them up and felt ALITTLE better...
but by the end of my shift it was gone. i felt totally normal.
the music at the bar was alittle hard to take, i kept turning it down, but whatever. i went outside frequently to get some fresh air.
i felt a world better today.
