How do you stop dreaming about someone?

I had a dream about a person I don't speak to anymore and don't even know if they are dea or alive.
I really would like to get this person out of my dreams as much as they are out of my life.

What can I do?

I had a dream last night!


Me too!!! And it really sticks with me the next day. And I never see this person, and the reams are so vivid.

If you find out, please let me know too! I have dreams all the time about someone I havent seen since 1999 and barely talk to anymore!

ugh its the worst! YOu know in spirituality they say when you dream of someone from your past- that person is thinking about you and you may run into them very soon.

Sometimes if I have a disturbing dream of someone from my past I won't go back to sleep!

Figure out what triggered the dream.

Usually a dream is a replay of everything that happened in your day (albeit a twisted, foggy, distorted one). Consciously think about it - rather than just trying to push it out of your mind so that it comes up as...well, "subconcious vomit" later in a dream.

Talk about it with someone.

But realize that most of the time you won't be able to prevent it.

If it's the person in the dream that's bothering you most consider that some people say that everyone in your dreams is really you - a different side of you, a different part of you.

If I dream about something/someone that I don't find pleasant, I flip my pillow. It has always worked for me.

When I was little, I used to have nightmares about the wicked witch (ok, you can laugh now )

Draw a picture of them and the things you see in your dream. Then rip the picture up into pieces and throw it in the garbage.

Worked for me!

My "uncle" told me to smell my socks when I was little, I wonder if this will work.

I honestly have no one to talk to about this, besides myself.

Honestly....the best thing is to do get some closure. Find out if they are dead or alive.

I have an old friend (we were BFF) and we had a really dumb fight and lost touch...I used to dream about the times we used to go bar hopping and all, all the time...finally I decided to track her down and I am so glad I did! It put an end to all the wondering, what is she up to, etc....

OMG this happened to me the other night! i havent spoken to or seen this person in about a year (and really dont care to) and i had a dream that they told me that they hated me!!! and then i woke up. i dont know why but it bothered me.
