How unprofessional is this???? ( Angry vent!)

We had electrical work done this week. I have been using this electrician for a few years and he has gotten a lot of clients from me and DH. ( About 8 people or more). I had a motion light put up and DH checked it out and that night, it went on if you stood right under it.... DH was not happy after spending the money to run the line etc, so he left a very straight forward message on the electricians machine.He calls back and tells us the motion sensor needs to be adjusted and how to do it. DH goes up on ladder, mind you with a hernated disc and a bulging disc he got in a car accident in March. The motion sensor falls out and there are wires dangling, of course it is friday at 5 pm , but we call the emergency line and he calls back. Telling me that he was ANGRY DH left abrupt mesasage the night before. Stupid me apologizes and the man says you can apologize all you want, but I am stilll upset I got this message- I was right there when DH left it it was not bad, it was to the point. I explained to him he works a rough job, has back problems, I am so sorry. He tells me that DH must have yanged it hard for this to happen. He did not I was standing right ther watching him. He says you can apologize all you want, I am still hurt. I was like and . Also , he said it goes 10 feet and when DH fished out the instruction manual from the garbage it says it ranged 70 feet, so he lied to us too! I also had spoken to him when he was here before this whole fiasco, about some major work I wanted done in my house , and we get treated this way! I cannot believe someone would have my DH fix what should have been fixed and mind you we gave him a 30.00 cash tip on top of paying top dollar for his work! I am so angry and cannot belive how unprofessional some workers are! VENT OVER

I would cut ties with him...he probally wouldn't care but its the right thing to do. The light should of been securely hung. Move the sesor part should not cause what to happen. He probally quoted top dollor and did a crappy install with bad parts...

We had a similar situation as you. Needless to say we will never use the co.'s services ever again and never try to fix anyone's job that we paid for.
