Anyone else hesitant about
posting risque things on LIF? Please tell me that you all realize that these threads never die and that you may be incriminating yourselves down the road.
Is anyone else aware of this?
My only real reply to this is, "wow, you have guts for posting this". Seriously. Why would you want your past (pot smoking habits, sex life, drinking escapades, etc) plastered all over the internet?
Maybe I'm crazy, or maybe just a big prude.
Is anyone with me? 
ETA: Yes, this is only my opinion AND everyone is entitled to do what they wish, BUT, what is your reasoning behind posting these things? PSA? Educating others? I'm not really sure why someone would do this.

I see what you're saying... Just the other day I had a random person at work asking me if I was nyteacher13 and how my FIL was doing. I never told this person any info prior to that. You wouldn't believe how small the world really is.
The way I write on here is the way I am in person. I write only things on here that I wouldn't mind telling/revealing to someone in person.

i could care less what people know about me. if it was a secret i wouldnt post it.

I must be really naive but I think that's really streching it a bit, don't you think.
I guess Im not that computer savvy that I would be able to match up your first car, with your screen name (that's not even your name) to say back to your back acct info.

I think it's kinda farfetched for someone to post that sorta question for the purpose of getting access to someone's information. If somebody is that close to getting into your stuff, you've probably got bigger problems. Not to mention the fact that there are easier ways to crack into people's accounts. But I digress...

I used to be a lot more careful but i think that there are still certain areas where i would draw the line. for example, I would never post a picture of my school aged child with their name. I just feel like it would be too easy for a predator to locate my child based on information I have provided, and approach them with a ton of information about their mom, dad, family etc. I dont have children yet, but I just think that people with kids need to take more precautions.

Yea, it sure is! When people openly post about driving drunk it tends to strike a nerve with some. Especially if people reading this have lost someone close to them to drunk driving.
