Bday Cards and In-Laws

Do you think its weird to send a bday card to my SIL (married to DH's bro) but not to her hubby (DH's bro) on his bday? I tend to do that in his family, buy gifts or cards for the women, but not the men - just b/c I'm closer to them. Is it rude?

We send cards and gifts to all the SILs and BILs. I always remind my DH when his sister and brtoher's b-days are coming up.

I do think that is a little strange. Why would you acknowledge DH's brother's wife but not DH's brother?

I feel bad when reading this.. I don't send cards.. I call rather than sending a card.

If you send cards though, I think it would be better to send cards to the SIL's DH's as well... JMOChat Icon

I don't think it's rude, but if I were the male in the family I may wonder why I don't get a card from you?

I send cards to all in law members. We decided to not send gifts to the siblings (we and BIL/SIL agreed, however do for MIL and FIL)
