Girls who have the snugride carbase installed
Are you keeping the graco carrier in the car, in the base? Mine has been hanging out in it b/c i don't want to bring it inside and then forget it if i go into labor, i figure it'll be one less thing to worry about if its already in the car. Also do you think its OK for it to be the heat all day long? I mean its not like theres a baby in there yet.

Mine has been in the truck of my jeep since we had the base installed. I can't stand clutter in the house so that was the best place for it.

I just put mine in the base since I am having it inspected today. I think I will leave it in the car from now on. But I kind of want to put a "cloth" over it so it does fade with the sun or gets dusty. At least until baby comes, then... I guess it's wear and tear.

Someone certified (police, fire station, etc..) verifies you installed the seat correctly.

we kept it in the house until the day DS & I were discharged. You do not need to have the carseat before the date of discharge from the hospital.

I have mine in the base in the car. It's been in there fpr a few weeks already, I don't think the heat will hurt it.

no it's not required, its just that they say like almost 90% of careseats are installed incorrectly so u can bring it to a police station or inspection station and have someone who is an expert check it and make sure its correct
and i live in upstate NY so it's not just an LI thing

DH and I were discussing this last night. We will be having the seat installed the beginning of July and were wondering what to do until the baby comes. I guess leave it in the car

We installed it last weekend, having it inspected next week. We have the seat in the car and will probably keep it there, just to get it out of the house.
Plus, I wonder if I can sneak into the HOV lane... I mean, are they really going to look for a baby in there once they see the seat?  Honestly, I've considered it!!!! Anyone have a realistic looking doll?
