Is this bad etiquette???

I went on an interview today. I would like to send a thank you email to the partner, associate and HR person I met with. Do you think it's tacky to send an email as opposed to a "real" thank you card?

I have always mailed proper thank you's. I just like it better. I think it makes a good impression to show how interested you are and that you took the time and effort to hand-write and mail a thank you - kwim?

I don't think it's tacky at all. I sent thank-yous to every teacher interview I went on. It's a nice personal touch, and very professional.

If you need advice as to what to include in the thank-you, FM me. I have a few templates.

ETA: Jeez, I didn't really respond to your question. Personally, I would send an actual letter rather than an email. I don't think it's tacky to send an email, but I think a real thank you would be better received (you put more effort into it). Either way, I'm sure it will be okay, but I'd send the letter.

I sent an email before the close of business on the day I had my interview and got the job offer as the reply that evening. I think it is a good way to go so the interviewer can cap off his/her day.
