I think it is happening again

I started spotting again yesterday. I am about 5 weeks. I spotted a little the week before I got my BFP and thought maybe it was implantation spotting since it stopped the day I got the BFP. Now it started again yesterday (stopped at night) and is back today. It is on the panty liner and when I wipe (sorry TMI)

I know I need to call the doctor but I can't bring myself to do it. I just know this is not good as it is the same kind of thing like it was with my first miscarriage. I am so scared to call the doctor. That makes this all too real again and I am not ready for this

Please talk me into building up the courage to call

Is it red or brown?

I spotted brown for weeks after my BFP, then it stopped at like week 8, and started again around week 12... Dr. said it was still implantation...which could be what you are experiencing...I also spotted red twice...that lasted like 3 days each time from my placenta being low. Call the Dr., but don't worry!

You have to call your doctor. It is the only way you will know for sure. It could just be residual spotting but you won't know until you call and/or go get checked out.

It is brownish. There also seems to be some Cm-like material on the Tp when I wipe (way TMI). It feel like de ja vu from a few months ago.

It still could be implantation bleeding but I would still call the dr.

This happened to a friend of mine & they told her she was still very early on to detect the cause of spotting/bleeding and told her it could be implantation bleeding. If the spotting turns into a period like bleed they told her to call so they can do blood work to check her levels.

edit turns out it was implantation bleeding.

Brown doesn't mean bad. Call the doc, but have hope!

I know exactly how you feel - the same thing happened to me on Sunday night, and they still don't know if something happened or if it was implantation. I will find out at my next sono. Try to have hope that it is just implantation, that is what I am hoping!

ok, I did it. I sat here and convinced myself I needed to call the doctor. I had to leave a message for the OB Coordinator who is not in yet. I must have sounded like a fool on her machine b/c I had no idea what I was saying.

Now I will wait for her to call back and just pray.

brown isn't necessarily bad. Have you had sex in the last week? That could be a cause as well.

I hope you get good news when they call back.

I had spotting three times already. once at around 5 weeks - it was bright red, then pink, then brown, lasted for one evening. I went to the doc, they did blood work and everything was fine.

Then I had more spotting at week 7 - it was first thing in the AM, i wiped there was a lot of brownish blood mixed with a CM like substance - very similar to what you are describing. A week and a half later i had a Sono and everything was fine! Very strong heartbeat! The doctor assured me that it is very common to have some spotting early in the pregnancy.

I did just have a little more spotting last Friday - at week 9 - and I am not certain everything is okay, but I am trying not to panic. To be honest, I think that some people are just more prone to spotting here and there. Do you spot during your cycle? I do... I feel like that my have something to do with it.

I would try not to worry about it. It is probably just nothing. Hang in there and feel free to FM if you need to chat/vent!

i was told brown is ok...are you cramping? I had the same exact thing that you are describing with the CM...because of your M/C you are conditioned to feel worried, im sure you are fine but do got ot he dr....

I spoke with the OB Coordinator a little while ago and she said brown may not be so bad. I really only had brown spotting with my m/c so that doesn't make me feel 100% better.

I have an appt for first thing tomorrow morning with the doctor but not sure what we will be able to see since I am only 5 weeks. I am sure they will do bloodwork to see if my numbers double but that won't be comforting to me since my m/c was a blighted ovum and my numbers doubled with that (false hope). - Boy, have I become a pessismist!

I just have to stay positive and pray for the best. I wish I was home with DH right now and not at work. He always has a way of makeing me feel more positive.

The first trimester is THE WORST! We all went through the worry. I know it's so hard after a miscarriage to be optimistic. Ask your DH to hold you tonight. You don't necessarily have to talk. It does wonders. I wish you the best!
