i've had enough!!

i fell in love with a man who had a cat. i'm not a cat person, but ok.

we decided to get married. we decided to move in together.

since then, there is now a bird, two cats, a 55 gallon fish tank, and a dog.

no one but me cleans!
i work a 40-hr week.

there is too much animal poop, pee, food, and hairballs for me to keep up with AND keep a decent home in the other areas.

there have been two bedspreads, a footstool, three pillows, wall-to-wall carpeting in the family room, three pairs of shoes, countless yards of yarn, a water bowl, a food dish, two leashes, and a sofa that have all been damaged beyond repair.

I CAN NOT TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm ready to hurt someone.

i am actually at the point that "rat poison" has crossed my mind. ****** I WOULD NEVER HURT AN ANIMAL*******
but the thought has crossed my mind.

Im sorry you are going through this. Sounds like you need to tell him. Pets take a lot of work and dedication and it sounds like you DH isnt helping at all!!

you're right, he doesn't help.
i told him today that i can't do this any more. that i'm tired of hating my own home.

i told him that he better help clean up or else his cat will be the first to go.

My Dh isn't into animals at all. I am an animal person myself and greatly miss my dog that passed away last year. He would take the dog out if he got home first but I did EVERYTHING else for MY dog. I still have my bird that I have had for 17 years but I do everything for him too. The only time I ask DH to do anything regarding him is if I happen to stay at my parents' house overnight which happens a few times a year maybe. As an animal person, if he wants the animals I feel he should be responsible for them.

I only have one cat and I know what your going through (shedding, litter box, etc).
I get so pizzed with the hair everywhere. I LOVE the cat though.

Your DH definitley needs to help you out.
My parents have 2 dogs, 3 birds, and 2 cats (cats are outside). My dad comes home from work every night and takes care of them all, along with my 2 year old nephew who loves helping "PAAA" feed the animals.

I have 4 cats that DH "tolerates." He doesn't lift a finger to help me with them, nor do I expect him to. I clean up after them, do all the house cleaning with the fur and the litter box and I feed them. If they are destructive, I do my best to rectify what they did. For the most part, they aren't too bad but they do like to claw the furniture.

I think your husband needs to take care of his animals and clean up after them. I dont think its fair for you to be doing it all alone. I can see you maybe pitching in by letting the dog out or something, but he should be doing the bulk of the responsibility.

I am with you on this one. DH wants a dog (or any pet) so badly but I DREAD the house bing dirty with hair and pet grossness. Sorry, but I am not a pet lover at all. I can't stand my own "dirt", I really don't want any pets!
