What about LaFamiglia in Smithtown?
Great food and I think you can get the side room for a party. It's family style.
Never had a bad meal there.

I had my shower and Rehersal at Villa Sorrento in St. James. They did a fantastic job and the food was really good. I would highly suggest them.
My shower was during the day, and we had the whole place to ourselves.

Almost postive Bella Vita has a area for private parties.

I was there for that and went back recently for dinner with DH. Loved it both times!
