Re: hemroids
I have an external one and can feel it. I use my prep H and medicated wipes when it gets aggravated. I'm not sure if you need a doctor to tell you if you have an internal one.
Mine hasn't bled in years (it reoccurs) but I think the bleeding means it has burst/ruptured and the pressure should be relieved.

Re: hemroids
I get fissures (sorta the same) from time to time and man, it hurts. And bleeding from the region is scary. I went to the doctor to find out that's what it was...not to be gross, but it helps to take in a lot of fiber, so that when you go, there's less chance of the skin tearing....

Re: hemroids
You can use the wipes or cream to alleviate the pain now, but you should increase the amount of water you are drinking and watch any foods that bind you. ALso, take a stool softener...its not a laxative, but it makes your stool softer so less of a chance to hurt when you go.
Stay away from fiber, rice, apples, bananas....

Re: hemroids
I feel your pain!! I have had fissures too and OMG I never felt something so painful. I ended up going to a gastro dr. I agree that you should increase your water, stay away from binding foods (esp bananas), and add a stool softner.
When there is a flare up, you can use medicated Tucks pads, and Preperation H. I got a prescription for a cream that I liked better and worked very welll. Also take a warm bath (you can take a 'Siits bath') and keep the area clean. Also don't push or force anything, if you know what I mean. Good Luck!

Re: hemroids
I had bleeding once too but noticed that my stool was very hard (sorry TMI). I took stool softener for a few days and it helped alot. Everything healed and the bleeding stopped.
