Children's Books
Looking for Love
Charity
I also don't understand the Teacher's board since I would think that would be under Career, but it does get used.
They should, however, have a For Sale board - this way if you were looking for something you could find it and those people who list on ebay every week would have a place to post it where it wouldn't get lost in the sea of threads on NFR.

I don't get that either.
Although I agree with:
- Business Helping Familes - there are nearly never any replies from the businesses to actually HELP the families. 
- Looking for Love
- LIF Children's Books
- Charity
In addition to:
- Home Team (see below)
I also agree with combining Teachers & Careers.
I would make the following changes to exisiting forums:
- I think the Families Helping Families & NFR should just be combined to a general chit chat forum.
- Change the Storyboard forum to ENTERTAINMENT which would include books, TV, movies and spectator sports.
- Change Diet & Fitness to HEALTH & FITNESS

Ehhh.... I can't say I fully agree.
Take away boards? I don't see which ones you would really need to remove.
Businesses Helping Families - that's like Vendor's Helping Brides... it should be there and hopefully, in the future (as I'm sure LIF is hoping) it will pick up with more vendors to answer questions.
LIFamilies Children's Books - well that was LIF's idea entirely... so who are we to tell them to get rid of it? LIF was supposed to START the book...that's why no one else ever posted on there... doesn't really belong on parenting at all...
Looking for Love - wasn't that one added just a week ago or so??? People requested it because it exists on LIW? That one can go, but I think it was JUST put in.
I think I could go for a For Sale Board - (but I wouldn't be crushed if it wasn't added) but THAT'S IT. No more boards!!
Combining Families Helping Families & NFR might work.... FHF is not really used for anything other than introductions...

sorry to sound harsh, but i'm cranky today, so deal 
here's what ALWAYS happens
there's a huge cry for a new board
"please please please ron" - give us this board
then he goes and does it and it never gets used.
Threads that should be on the new board are posted here because "this board gets more traffic"
But, to be fair, here's what I suggest:
All boards should have a trial period. Maybe like 1-3 months.
After that period of time - if that board isn't posted on regularly and has a solid following, it gets yanked.
I think that's fair.

I like this idea!
yes this does make sense, with one little exception. some boards may lend themselves to not being posted on very often so then they should stay. like if you had a yankees win board! oh that one hurts! but i think you get my drift!
