Re: Boy Clean
He can organize things neatly but as for deep cleaning he is clueless. It takes him a half hour or more just to do a few dishes and he spends more time reading the back of each cleaner then actually using it. If he cleans I usually wait till he leaves the room to do it over

Re: Boy Clean
I try to tell DH that TIDY DOES NOT EQUAL CLEAN!!!! He still doesn't quite grasp the concept.
But he does vacuume. I always run over the cord, so he took that job from me. Darn...

Re: Boy Clean
For some things he is better than others. Dishes and vaccuming are his favorites. He loves wathcing "Bill Cosby Himself" where he talks about how guys purposely mess things up so the women never want to do them again Luckily I too know that comedy tape by heart and it don't work with me

Re: Boy Clean
Mine is very neat but when it comes to actual cleaning...
funny he was good at it when he was single...
I think the ring has triggered a chemical reaction in his brain causing him to forget how to scrub and clean properly

Re: Boy Clean
He is definitely a boy cleaner, but he's a good boy cleaner.
He'll clean the tub but won't clean the tile walls... or he won't take the shampoos and stuff out to clean underneath..
Or he'll clean up after dinner by putting away the leftovers, but won't wipe down the stove or the countertop..
I can't complain, because I tend to clean when the mood strikes me, rather than the minute it needs to be done, so if he didn't "boy clean" I'd be dealing with much bigger messes than I do.

He can vaccuum, load the dishwasher and do laundry - it ends there.

Re: Boy Clean
I don't even let him try. I know he wouldn't be good at it because he doesn't move a thing when he's trying to find something, so can you imagine if he was trying to clean?

LOL! There's something unique about the way I find 1 of my sneakers in the corner of the room, on top of my fresh drycleaning. LMAO!

My DH is a great cleaner. He loves to vaccum and when he cleans the glass shower and the floor it comes out great! I love that about him! He also scoops the litter box now that I'm preggo and it never smelled better!

I think there is a huge difference when a man cleans a house and when a woman cleans a house. I like to call what my hubby does "boy clean" Does your hubby boy clean or is he a great cleaner (including scrubbing, dusting, mopping, sinks, toilets [under the rim too]) etc
I believe there is a difference. However, my DH is a great cleaner (including scrubbing, dusting, mopping, sinks, toilets [under the rim too])
I got lucky! Now my son..that's a DIFFERENT story!!

Re: Boy Clean
My DH is a great cleaner when it comes to the kitchen.... sometimes I think he does it better than me. But other things - he does "boy clean"... ugh especially the bathroom... but I am very very thorough when I clean the bathroom.

Re: Boy Clean
Mine is like Jekyll and Hyde with it. He makes a royal mess during the week, laundry next to the hamper, dishes left out, toilet is a mess. toothpaste and shaving cream in the sink....YET, when he makes his mind up and gets sick of it, he goes on a rampage and cleans the kitchen like a madman. ONLY the kitchen. Nothing else. Does that make any sense!?

My DH claims he doesn't know "how to clean"
mine too- it might have something to do with the fact that his mom told him "Boy's don't clean, Mommy's clean" when he was little

Re: Boy Clean
without a doubt. My DH has a habit of forgetting the nooks and crannies. AND he never moves furniture when he vacumns. Hello, you've gotta move the coffee table dear.

When he cleans, he does a total neat freak clean job...and then other times he might wash all the dishes, but not wipe down the sink.

My DH thinks that putting things away is "cleaning".
He has no idea what cleaning actually is.

He does as good a job cleaning as I do, but it takes him longer. that's fine with me, as long as he actually does it!
