I need help with carseats.
We registered for a travel system with the stroller and the infant car seat together. Can anyone reccomend a regular car seat for when the baby outgrows the infant one? We'd like to register for this as well.

im not there either, but when i did the research it was britax. I registered for the britax marathon (i actually registered for 2, one for DH and one for me)

The infant carseat is a "regular" carseat. It just match the stroller pattern is sold with the travel system (stroller, carseat and carseat base).
You can buy an infant carseat without the stroller.
There are several kind of carseats:
- Infant carseat: Rear facing and detachable from the base which stays in the car. Up to a certain age, weight and heigth
- Convertible carseat: rear facing AND forward facing. Both in infant car seat in the rear facing position and for the stage after the infant car seat age, weight and heigth in the forward facing position. This car seat stays in the car and cannot be moved.
- Then you the booster seats, etc.. for the older kids.
If you are talking about a "convertible" carseat, I plan on getting the Britax one.

We are getting the Britax roundabout. Scored very high on baby bargains. My sister has the Marathon and loves it....she said it's worth every penny.

We got the Britax Marathon, based on all the reviews and a child seat safety class we attended.
No experience with it yet tho.

Originally we registered for the Britax roundabout - but then I heard great things about the Marathon - and I believe that it can hold a higher weight - so we switched to that one.

i regsitered for both the britax marathon and the roundabout (one for each of our cars)...
most of my friends have recommended them to me and from all the other research I did they both come very highly recommended!!

The Evenflo Triumph has good ratings. It's inexpensive as well, around $130.00.
