Happy Hour Locations??
My sister is single and she is really trying to put herself out there to meet people. I always go with her b/c all of her friends are already married w/ kids so they can't really go.
So, we have been looking for places that have a great Happy Hour crowd with, hopefully, some nice men who are single. We want to go tonight-- anyone have any suggestions??
We live in and prefer Suffolk but can go to Nassau too...
She has tried Match and EHarmony with, so far, no luck.

Try the Blue Hanu in Huntington. I feel like there are always a lot of single guys there.....

We tried that a few weeks ago-- but we went a little early and had to leave early due to an appointment...
I was thinking of trying it again b/c as we were leaving, b/c we HAD to go, it seemed like good people were coming in...
Thank you for the suggestion...
I'm still hoping for other suggestions too- we can "hop" from one place to another 
I really want to find her someone before my wedding- I feel awful having my older sister have to come to her younger sister's wedding solo...
I just feel bad.

Crazy Donkey has a pretty good happy hour
ETa - they also have good food and if you sign up online you get free admission and free drinks

In Nassau I used to go to the Happy hr at Rothman's in Norwich. More upscale singles..
who else is affording $10 drinks?!
Either way, the place has a 30-40s crowd and most of the people are professionals.

I know this probably won't work for tonight and I know it's not that close to Suffolk, but you 2 really should head into Manhattan for Happy Hour one Thursday or Friday night. There are so many places that have great happy hours with lots o professional men 
I have 2 single sisters who are also always looking for great places to meet single men too

The Gatsby's in Islip has a nice happy hour and it's all professionals. Thursdays's there is Ladies Night.

I remember Nappertandy's having a pretty good happy hour as well.

I really thought Match.com would have been a hit... That's how I met Vin, that's how my brother met his GF who he really likes, that's how Vin's sister met her BF... But it's not working for my sister.

I am not really sure about Happy Hour but Blackstone is a great place and has a lot of professional people that go there.
Also, maybe your sister could hang in there on match.com. I went on a lot of bad dates before I met DH on Match.
Here's to hoping that she finds someone!

If you are looking to be able to go to a few places, I would definitely recommend Babylon Village. I really like Horace & Sylvias, Argyle, and Carriage House.

I haven't been, but the Grill Room in Hauppauge has a Happy Hour.
I'd assume it has a professional type of crowd as it is right outside a pretty big industrial park.

Most thursday nights are packed...although I was there last thursday and it was only semi-packed! I got there at 6pm.
ETA: I second babylon carraige house or argyle grill...they have a pretty good crowd too (not trashy...professional)
