NST?
Has anyone had to do these tests, and what exactly are they looking for when they do therm? I have to go 2 timews a week for them, and I know they hook you up to the monitors but what for?

I had NST's for 10 weeks with DD.
They look for contractions, and mostly monitor the baby's heartrate.
I was sent to the hospital once after my NST cause the baby's heartrate dropped during a contraction.
All you do is get strapped with monitors and I had to hit a button everytime I felt the baby move, when I hit the button it made a mark on the strip.

I had to go every week for one You just lie there and they hook up to the monitor to measure the baby's activity.
And every time you feel something you press this button.

Been having them once or twice a week for months now.
just like the others said...you sit in the chair, they put the HB monitor on your belly and you have to press a button when you feel baby movement....
It mneasures the babys Heart rate...
