Spinoff from "the ankle woman"

I just had an epiphany...

For some reason people feel the need to point out things about pregnant women that they would normally keep to themselves. For some reason our society has made this socially acceptable. And if we as much as stick up for ourselves people just pat us on the back and blame it on those "preggo hormones"

I mean seriously would you point out to a coworker or a friend how LARGE she was getting if she werent pregnant? How about their belly button? Or would you pat someones belly that you didnt know? Etc etc etc...

I can only hope that I have learned to NEVER do this to someone else in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm with you!!! especially TODAY! one of my coworkers thinks its funny to walk by me ,giggle and say "you're fat". Another day she said i have a "rash" on my face - it must be the boy (she thinks i'm having a boy because she had 2 of them)?. I did not have a rash on my face - it was irritated from a different soap i tried - my skin is pretty good.

She also comments on my spider veins - i know i have them - they are genetic and i've had my first one at 16 years old which i had the derm injected... now i'm just waiting to be done with having kids before i have them done again. Overall i like this person and she sits right outside my office so i walk by her all the time . . .

Most of time, i feel good about my belly and i love it because i know what's inside (do i love my thighs or butt at the moment - no) but i'm telling myself its temporary. Its hard though to keep yourself feeling good when people make comments like this or compare you to the "model preggo's"

I am sorry you all have to go through this, but I was actually thinking that perhaps a thread should be started that would list witty comebacks when people say stupid things or offer unsolicited advice to women who are PG. This way, everyone is armed and ready to go instead of saying "Damn I wish I said that.

For example,

When someone says:

"Wow your face got so big!"

you can say:

"Not as big as your a$$."

Just a thought.
