So do we need 2 car seats?

I'm leaning toward getting the Snugride infant car&carrier seat and snap & go frame and a separate stroller for when the baby is 6 months+ - right? This means i'll need another car seat for when the baby is 6months+ too?? do i register for both or is that rude/greedy? Thank you - i have preggo brain

it doesn't hurt to register for both. some people would rather buy "bigger" stuff then lots of smaller stuff.

I would also register for a second base for the snugride.

yes, register for an extra base for the infant car seat and a convertible car seat (the seat they use after a year old)....we got ours from our shower and it's $300+ we don't have to worry about down the road!

I say register for both. I've seen it on many registries and was never offended by it -- it's something you NEED!

i registered for the graco travelsystem (which comes with the stroller, car seat base and carrier) and also put on 2 additional snugride carseat bases (one for DH car, one for my SIL who will be watching the baby when he is around 4-5 months old) and then 2 convertible carseats (britax roundabouts). i figured i would put everything on my registry and if no one buys them, oh well. Turns out my aunt bought thet ravelsystem, MIL bought both our britax's carseats for when he ourgrow the snugride and a freind of the family bought one of the snugride bases. I honestly didnt think the big stuff was going o go but it did, so def put whatever you want on ther egistry cause you never know

I didn't register for two. Just my infant one. IMO the second one is something DH and I will buy when we need it.

We got A LOT of gc's and we can always put it towards that second seat later on.

Oh, and we did register for an extra base, we have two cars (we had four when I registered ) and I have put the extra one in my mom's car b/c it was silly that we had two.

ETA: My SIL registered for both and only got the convertible so they had to go and buy the infant seat...then my neice used the infant seat til she was one, so that was a PITA for them.

We registered for one Snug ride, with the snap and go....

Then we also registered for two of the convertible seats for when the baby gets a bit older (one for each car). And we registered for the quattro tour stroller to use then as well.

If people don't buy them, then we'll purchase them ourselves, but some people do prefer to buy bigger ticket items...

We registered for a travel system, an extra base and a Britax larger seat for when the baby gets bigger.

i registered for:
infant carseat (snugride)
xtra base for the snugride (for dh's car)
snap & go
peg perego stroller
and TWO convertible car seats (at $270 a pop!) (Britax marathon)...
now thats greedy!!


BUT, someone already bought my infant car seat and the stroller...

I say put it all on there!!

I have 2 infant car seats. The one that came with the travel system (Snugride) and that I will use in my car. And an additional Snugride for DH's car. The main reason is that either one of us may have to pick up our son at the daycare center and come from 2 different directions.

I did not register for the convertible carseat but you could. Especially since this is so expensive.
