How do you know if diapers are too small?

Stupid question, I know - Cailen is in size 1 PAmpers now... They seem to be fitting him fine, but when I started him on the size 1's, they took up half his belly, going over his belly button. Now they fall under his belly button.

The reason I'm asking is he is starting to do that pee pee leaking thing again where he'll get that wet spot on his back. Not all the time, but enough where on any given day, it will happen and then get on us if we are holding him....

Someone said it could be because his diaper is small on him, but it really doen's seem small...

I just bought 2 112 packs of size 1 diapers because they said they go up to 14 pounds, and he is under 10 still - was I stupid for doing that?

Can I exchange them at Target without the receipt (I lost my receipt!!)

If the diaper is leaking again move up a size. I'm pretty sure Target will let you exchange it

I was thinking this with DS this week. He is a week younger than your son and was about the same weight at birth. The 1s were huge on him, now they're under his belly button too and I was thinking maybe I should move up to those size 1-2 diapers. But I just bought two boxes of the 1s last week and I was hoping BRU would let me exchange one of them without the receipt. He hasn't started to leak yet, so I'll try and stick it out a little bit, but I would say to you if he's leaking move up and maybe try those size 1-2 instead of going to size 2s if you think they're still looking too big.

Target lets you two exchanges a year without a reciept.

the specific size never mattered for us...it was the leaking that was the problem.
