They tried to reschedule my level II...yet again

I got a call from the hospital yesterday about my Level II but I didn't know at first because she didn't say where she was calling from so I thought it was about my ER emergencey. it actually said hospital on my caller ID so that was the first thing I thought of. For those of you who don't know I was rushed to the ER this past Tues for bleeding and I've been home resting since.

The women starts off by saying "I'm sorry I have some bad news". I jumped from my couch and my heart sank. She made me believe it had to do with my ER visit. She then tells me she has to cancel my Level II appt. She said there was some kind of staff meeting (b/s I think) and that there would be no doctors. I got annoyed and told her this is the 2nd time this is happening and more importantly I told her my situation and how this is a very important appt and it can't be pushed.

She told me to call NSUH and tell them the story I told her to have them get me in earlier. Still annoyed I did I almost was in tears crying to whoever I was speaking to at NSUH, she put me on hold and spoke to the office manager and they said for me to call back the other hospital to say that they must see me on this particular day. So I did and I'm actually seeing them a lot earlier than my scheduled appt.

What a scare right???? geeze louise!!!! Anyway I'm happy I'm seeing the Level II doctor earlier. I actually have two doctor appts in the same week. You just need reassurance however you can get it.

fyi I've been feeling good too. I stopped wearing a pad yesterday and the only thing I see when I wipe is very faint watery dark tinge on the tissue.

Im assuming you are going to HUNTINGTON HOSPITAL for the Level II....

At Huntington Hospital it is the Perinatalogist who performs the Level II sonograms not a technician. Long story short they are short a doctor over there. One of the doctors left, leaving just Dr Bernasko (whom you will LOVE-he is fantastic!)..North Shore keeps telling Huntington Hospital that they will have another doctor after such and such a date..and then they change it on them...sometimes at the last minute..Or they will call them and say that they just cant fill that spot..

This has happened to me 2X..my uncle works at Huntington Hospital so I had him find out the scoop..Just last week I had to rescedule a growth sonogram to be done at North Shore instead of Huntington.
