This weekend is off to a great start...
We're supposed to head to Montauk tonight. Joseph started throwing up this morning.
I'm hoping it's a sour stomach but so far he's gone through several towels & a few outfits.

We're staying at my girlfriend's house. She has mentioned several times, "If he has a stomach virus, you should leave him home."
Um, if he has a stomach virus - we all stay home. Her idea is that I was going to leave Joseph with DH & still come out so we can go out.
I realize it's that she wants me to come out, but why does that irk me so much?

Because you are the mommy - and she wants you to leave your little sweetie to go out - thats why it bothers you - she just expects you to come no matter what.

I hope he feels better by lunch and you can go and enjoy your weekend. I would be annoyed at the assumption of leaving him home too, it just doesn't work that way sometimes, I would not have a good time knowing he was home sick (and not sure my DH could deal).

I'm guess, from the sound of her, that she doesn't have children. As if, a mommy as wonderful as you, would just leave her sick baby.

Hope your little boy feels better does your GF have kids? probably not...you never fully understand until you are a mom that there is no way you could leave your sick child at home while you go away even if you really want to.
Maybe its a 24 hr thing and you could head out there in the morning. At this stage the traffic is going to be nuts anyway.

Awwwww, I hope he has a quick recovery - Zachary had a stomach virus last week - it lasted 7 days!
Hailey has started with a fever now too......guess my weekend is shot as well.

Thanks for all your good wishes!
He seems a little better. Although we went to the park & he threw up on the way there.
I think we'll head out tonight & if he's not feeling well, we'll come back.
My friend has a daughter but she's all about going out at night (she's single).
