XP: So confused...UPDATE!

The day of my last period was April 10th.

I still haven't gotten my period....

I went to the gyno today and they took a pregnancy test, there was a VERY faint line next to the solid 2nd line, but anyway when the nurse looked at it she said I don't think you are cause the line is so very light, but you could still see one if you look at it closely, my Dr said he sees a line but it is very very light. He said to wait till next week and test again (I'm probably very early that's why), he did an exam on me and said everything is good, no change yet because I'm still very early if I am pregnant......

Then before he left the room he said " well I'm sure I will see you very soon"!

I still have no clue if I am or not.....

ETA: My DH and I are very careful even though we dont use any protection--lol

Had this happened to anyone else?? TIA.



NOT PREGNANT! Took a test this morning and it came up negitive, kind of happy since we wanted to try again next year.

I took a test the day before AF was due and the line was SO FAINT that I didn't even think there was a line....then I took one the day AF was due and the line was still really faint. Then yesterday I took the digital (the day after AF was due) and it was a BFP...

Anyway, my advice is to wait until you miss your period then definitely take a digital. Good luck!

I'm confused too - I don't understand why your MD would say that he doesn't know just b/c the line is faint. If it's there - you're pregnant. Congrats!

I think you should ask for a beta. How long are your cycles usually? If your last period was April 10 and your cycles are "average", you should be 6 wks already - that's not that early.

Oh my goodness Melissa!!!! My line was sooooo faint that I literally held it up to my bathroom light and could see it that way....but it was def. there.

I think congrats is in order!!! Julia may be a big sis!!

With my son, I took 3 hpts before I went to the doctor... one digital... all positive. When I went to the doctor, they gave me another one and it came up negative. The nurse talked to me like I was nuts and that I had to be wrong. When the doctor came in he examined me and said "oh yes she is pregnant!"

With this pregnancy, I took 2 hpts... both VERY faint lines. When I went to the doctor (new doctor) they didn't even do a urine test they did a bloodtest to confirm and an ultrasound (they couldn't see anything but he said there was definately something "going on in there".

I would think it would have shown up by now but maybe try a different brand of test? A digital?

They didn't draw blood from you to check? So you went to the doctor to see if you are pg and still really got no answer. Did anyone give you prenatal pills?

I did get pg and had a VERY faint line for weeks and it was a chemical pg. Many women on here have said they had positive pg's with faint lines but I think I would call the doctor and get a blood test for your betas
