3rd trimester ladies

do you sleep a LOt?

Im wondering if its something to mention to the Dr on my next appointment.

I honestly sleep about 10 hours a night, sometimes even more.

And I am tired again right now, so much so I could fall asleep sitting here and sometimes my afternoon naps are 2-3 hours long.

I feel like its got to be Me..no one can sleep 15-16 hours a day?????????

No way! Not me! I would LOVE to be sleeping 10 hours a day. I usually fall asleep between 10-11, up at 12,2, and 4 to pee, then up for good about 7... but today I went back to bed at about 10 and woke up at 11:45.

I'm a mess and usually exhausted.

I would mention it just for your peace of mind, but I know they say the exhaustion can return like first trimester. I'm exhausted b/c I've been running around non-stop, but I don't sleep well at all. I maybe get 6 hours of sleep a night, and it's tossing & turning sleep. My body definitely wants more though, I'm just too exhausted to sleep, KWIM?

I am ready for a nap by 2-3pm everyday and I am out cold by 10pm most nights. I am soo hot at night, so even then i don't get a good nights rest.

I wish I could nap though, but my 1 year old has other plans

yes...I'm always tired. I was with Aly too....near the end your body needs the rest.

I nap during the day again when I can....nod off while DD plays/watches TV before dinner and then I'm exhausted still by the time bedtime rolls around.

It's preperation for the physical strain of labor, especially if you labor a long time, PLUS the lack of sleep from having a newborn!

Im up and down all night long, but I still since not working sleep sooo late in the day, get up and am tired a few hours later.

I am usually pooped by 8pm. Go to bed shortly after. Wake up around 5:30am or so. I never have enough sleep.

I wish I was off work.....

Well, I USED to be like that until my Dr. told me I am borderline anemic and now that I've been taking iron supplements I feel like I have ADD or something.....I used to sleep all the time and now I'm up at like 1:00 am (this morning) washing the baby's clothes

It's totally normal to be exhausted again in the 3rd trimester though....it's SO much harder to move around with this motherload!

I have been sleeping a lot more lately! I woke up at 10am today for the first time since I got pregnant I think! and usually around 3pm I am so tired and ready for a nap... I think it must be normal

I told you I am always taking a nap. I think it's also because we have the luxury of being home - so when we are tired we can just lay down. I think that if we were out and about it wouldn't hit us this hard. Does that make sense?

Sounds totally normal Donna. On top of being 9mths pg you've been out of work and on bedrest for awhile. If anyone pg or not was ordered to not work and rest as much as possible they would eventually start sleeping 15-16hrs a day. Enjoy as much sleep as you can now.

Not really. Are you anemic? I sleep like 7 hrs a night. I feel to anxious to sleep.

I go to bed by 10 every night. I do find my energy is much lower this trimester and getting worse. I just rest when I get home from work for an hour and that helps a lot.

while i am so tired all the time, i cant sleep at night i get maybe 2-4 hours and then i am up b/t the heartburn and going to the bathroom. i really think i have insomnia and would give anything to sleep more then 4 hours straight

I'm not quite in my 3rd trimester yet- about another week. But lately, I feel sooo tired. I said to DH last night- I think my 1st trimester tiredness came back. Last night, I dont even remember falling asleep! In fact, I didnt even hear DH's alarm go off this morning!
