I failed the GD test!!!!!!!

I'm so mad at myself. We went out to eat the night before and of course I had some of DH's dessert.....

Grrr....

I have to take the 3 hour on Friday - any advice on what I should eat until then so I can pass?

No advice, but good luck for the next test. Just try not to have anything really sweet the day before (not proven to make a difference I don't think, but it can't hurt!).

I too don't believe it is just something you ate the day before that causes you to fail. I really think it is all hormone/pregnancy related. I am also a strong believer - if you have GD you want to know and not to hange you regular routine. My dr always advised eat normally - just don't go eat crazy stuff the night before. For the 3 hour you are fasting after midnight anyway - so it should matter. I had donuts and pizza the day before and passed the 3 hour with flying colors even with my past history of GD.

I don't think it matters what you eat - as Niecey said. In fact my office made me do a carb load where you up your carbs before the test (you do fast after midnight for the 3 hour). I passed with really great numbers.

Don't stress about it yet many people fail their one hour but pass the 3 hour.

So did I!! I took the 3 hr this morning...so boring!!!!! I just brought 2 newspapers, a magazine, and a book with me to make the time go by!!
