Back from my first internal
And I have to say that it really wasn't THAT bad. It was quick too so that's good.
I'm not dialated at all but the cervix is softened and she felt the baby's head!
It's basically a crap shoot from here on out when I can have this baby but he will be full term as of Saturday so that's all I really care about.
So, for anyone who was worried about their first internals - don't be - I am a huge wimp and I didn't think it was bad.

Happy it went well for you..my 1st internal was pretty much same experience. I couldnt understand why everyone was freaked by them.

I agree! I had my first internal on Monday and didn't think it was painful at all. Dr. said nothing is going on "laborwise" so it's just a waiting game from here!!

Well, I have to say that since I got back home it feels like I have been having braxton hicks contractions but pretty nonstop. I am drinking some water now bc I'm thinking I could be dehydrated. Who knows. He could just be pizzed that the doctor touched his head. lol.

That's me today. I can't walk around. I feel BH contractions right away. I am TRYING to drink since yesterday.

I agree - my internals have not been that painful - just very uncomfortable in the moment. Afterwards I am fine. Since my 38th week internal I have been having contractions but nothing that is knock the breath out of you bad. I think my little one doesn't care for them too much either.
Last Thursday I had an internal and was completely closed...by Monday I was a little more than 2cm...so you never know what will happen in this next week for you.
