Internals & DH

So, my first internal is tomorrow Anyway...DH hasn't been able to make many of my latest doctor's appointments, although he wanted to. Well, he can probably make tomorrow's appointment, but it's an internal...I've warned him of this, he says he doesn't care, he has no desire to look/watch anyway , and that he was there for the internal sonos in the beginning.

Has anyone's DH gone with them to internals?

Let him come with you since he couldn't come to your other appts.

Dh was there when I had an internal sono. He said it was a little weird but I had the gown draped over my legs so he didn't really see anything.

My DH has been there for MANY internals. He will be so focused on looking at the screen... plus you have a sheet over you so I wouldn't worry.

mine has and has just sat/stood by my head - I would let him come since he hasn't come to many appts.

DH was with me in the beginning when i was getting the trans vag sonos (i know its not the same as an internal but your still haveing something stuck up your vajajay) and it was not a big deal he was there, he felt fine,
they covered me up and we were both joking about how the wand looked like a big sex toy

Thanks gals! Just wanted to make sure it wouldn't look 'weird' that he was there.

Oh yes, he sat through the trans vaginal ultrasound too, he was definitely taken aback by the wand they use!

Yup - DH was there with me for many appointments. I am usually very shy, but I almost felt better with DH there!

DH has been to every appt with this pregnancy and my last.

He never leaves the room.

DH has come with me to the sonos, one exam when I was having some bleeding, and an appt. to see a genetic counselor.

I'm fine without him going to the internals. At this point, it really doesn't seem necessary, but this is up to you. You should do what makes you feel comfortable.
