Do mushrooms go bad?
They were a little slimey but I figured, hey they are a fungus

I usually throw them away when they get slimy and turn brown

Mushrooms you buy at the supermarket or the "other" kind of mushrooms? 
ETA: I would toss them if they are slimy

I know, I just washed them really good. My DH will eat anything and yells at me for throwing away "perfectly fine" food. Sorry, my food needs to be a little more than perfectly fine. I guess I will be serving the mushrooms on the side tonight.
