Re: When can I stop peeling fruit for her?

I was wondering that just yesterday as I peeled my 27 mo old's fruit. I don't peel grapes anymore but peel everything else. Actually if he sees piece of skin on it - he yells ut-oh and won't eat it until I cut it off so I guess I will be awhile still for me. I have tried tiny bits of pear or apple skin and if he doesn't notice on site - he notices when he eats it and spits it right out.

I've never peeled fruit - unless the skin is extremely hard on pears and apples - then i will peel it..

I give her peaches, grapes, plums, cherries etc cut up in small pieces with the skin. When she was much younger and i pureed - then I would peel the skin - but not now...

The skin actually contains alot of the vitamins - but i would use my judgment - if you think she might choke or the skin is tough - difinitely peel.
