BRU or BBB?
is one better than the other as far as a wider selection of patterns etc? I went to the Babies Rus in Bklyn and it really stinks (they had 2 bassinets) and not many patterns in pack n play's etc.. but i don't have a Buy Buy Baby near me? do you think its better to register at 2 places

It's funny you say this because as I have been starting to look for things for my registry, I am finding that Target actually has more of what I am looking for than BRU (I don't have a BBB near me). I will have 2 registries... I don't want to just settle for what BRU has.

IMO, BRU has a wider selection. maybe try a different store? I do like BBB though because they have nicer displays and stuff like that.

I registered at both & found BBB to be way better with helping people shop from my registry, returns and also emailing me to let me know if something was discontinued so I could update my registry. BRU was a total PTA with all three of those things, and their return policy on Internet purchases is enough to make me want to kick em n the shins.

depends if your guests will be around BBB. BRU has more stores and therefore is easier for people to shop for you

I am going with BRU because I just like them better. BBB does have nice displays but I had to pick one. Also, I am having a problem with both of them as far as swing/high chair patterns

I registered at both, because some of the items I wanted in a certain pattern only BBB carried and vice versa. I like BRU for things like diapers and wipes. BBB seems a bit better organized and carries more $$ stuff.

I had a bad experience with a gift I ordered from BRU and with the customer service. There is a store right near my house. I'll shop there on my own, for convenience, but I will not register there. I posted about my experience. It could have been a fluke thing but I am not taking chances. My plan is to go to BBB to register.

I registered at both but DH ended up directing everybody to get the stuff at BRU.
I love BBB but they don't have as many stores and you can't really add items to your registry online like BRU.
BRU is so much better in terms on updating the registry from your computer. But they are PITA when it comes to returns.

Oh no, what happens when you try to update it online? The whole process is difficult enough!!!!

IMO BBB has nicer stuff and a wider selection of strollers and carseats. However, there are not alot of BBB's and when I went last Nov. to get some gifts off a registry alot of the items were out of stock. I went to the BBB in NYC and in NJ and both did not have the items (a maclaren carriage and the snap n go) in stock. At the end of the year apparently the 2006 models get discontinued so if you are due around Dec or Nov many of the stuff you register for may be discontinued and hard to find.
BRU is great because they have alot of stores but I'm not too crazy about their selection of strollers and car seats.
