big..fast...uncomfortable
I am only coming up on five weeks and my stomach looks like I am six months pregnant!! My clothes are tight and I know its just bloat but is there anything I can do to make it easier and less uncomfortable all day. I feel like I need new clothes lready...plus it makes me feel so full, ughhhh. Wondering why oh why can't I be one of those people that has a great and easy time of things.

I feel your pain! I am in the exact same boat. I can't believe I am THIS bloated at 5 weeks. I am trying to eat smaller meals, more frequently. I feel like I get full SO fast!!

Re: big..fast...uncomfortable
It's just bloat at this stage...I had the same thing and ran out and bought maternity clothes at 9 weeks b/c I was so frustrated...I ended up losing some of the bloat and none of the maternity clothes really fit me until 17/18 weeks.
Don't worry....it's just one of the other symptoms of pregnancy...it's normal.

Re: big..fast...uncomfortable
I'm now 26 weeks, but I remember that time...I was so bloat at 5-6-7 weeks that I looked like I was 3 months pregnant...but it subsided and everything has been great so far.
If you notice that there are certain foods that make it worse, try to avoid them (for me it was broccoli)...drink lots of water and if you need to, wear looser fitting pants, or don't button the top button...the bella bands sometimes work well too...
good luck!

Re: big..fast...uncomfortable
I had bloat in the very beginning too...and some overall tightness in my lower belly...it was very uncomfortable...I specifically remember even sleeping being uncomfortable, not just the day time.
For me though, it never went down but it got a lot less uncomfortable. I even felt a little depressed like how am I going to accept my whole body changing?! But that quickly passed and turned to excitement as I watched my belly slowly get bigger. If your pants are tight you can try the bella band..I used that until like 13-14 weeks and then I went to maternity clothes.

same here. i felt SO bloated at that stage and ran out to buy maternity stuff because i thought it would just get worse and worse. it didn't - the bloat went away and i was left with just my baby belly. so now i am 19 weeks and still need maternity pants but am fitting into a lot of my regular clothes as well.

Re: big..fast...uncomfortable
Buy a maternity band so you can wear your pants opened. Drink LOTS of water and try to reduce salty or gassy foods. Small meals are great too.
Also, try to up your fiber a bit- it will help tremendously.
