BFing & drugs during labor?
If you plan on BFing can you still get drugs???

The epidural is safe but I am not sure about the other ones. I didn't take anything else. My sister took Stadol and BF so I would assume that is safe.

I have similar questions about medications for pain after the birth. I am having a C-section and I want my pain meds!

I had a csection and breastfed...they gave me percoset for pain and it worked great....2 pills every 4 hours

I have similar questions about medications for pain after the birth. I am having a C-section and I want my pain meds!
So far every one that I have spoken to at at the hospital has assured me that the post-surgical drugs are OK as long as they do not last too long past when milk begins to flow. Apparently they do not affect the colostrum too much.

I got the epidural---I think it slowed down the time it took for my breastmilk to come in
