Check out what my boss said to me today....
I'm so furious. My boss calls me into her office to tell me something, which I guess in her mind was kind of harsh.
So, she prefaces it with "I know alot of women who are pregnant tend to get emotional, but I dont want you to get emotional when I tell you what I'm about to tell you"
The thing is, I would not have even gotten upset at what she told me- It was NOT that big of a deal. I could not believe she said that to me though!!!!!
All of my co-workers are telling me to go to HR and report her- but its not worth it because she is a part owner in the company- so its not like she would even get into trouble!

Uhhh???
What makes her think you will get emotional?
I would calm down first then go talk to her.
I would talk in a VERY calm voice and professional...Like. "I thought about what you told me yesterday and I am surprised. Were any of my actions unprofessional that would make you think I would be too emotional regarding a business meeting or conversation?"
If she goes into "generalization", I would cut her right off with "I guess everybody is different".

Thats the whole thing- Its not like I've gotten emotional in front of her before. I mean, sure, there was 1 time where she ****** me off to the point where I got back to my office and tears started to well up- but I NEVER gave her the satisfaction of knowing that she ****** me off that bad! I'm never unprofessional even when I'm not PG! I just thought that was so rude of her to say!

Some people just assume that pregnant women are emotional wrecks...I have a couple people around me that keep attributing every issue that I have to Preggo Hormones!!!! Its getting rather annoying...
Has she had children? She was probably a basket case while pregnant and just assumes that every women is.
