Is this bad?

I love my DH very, very much but this week I find myself just wanting to have alone time when I get home from work. I work in an industry where I deal with people in person and on the phone all day long. I'm still at work right now, by myself, because it's so peaceful and quiet. How bad is this? Will I feel this way with my child? How terrible is that to feel that way when my DH did NOTHING wrong? Is it hormonal? I'm 33 wks 4 days.

I think its totally normal! I go through it, and I don't think it has anything to do w/DH.

When I go home, most of the time I'm fine, but sometimes, when DH is home hes buzzing around...and he just makes me feel "busy"!! I think because my mind is usually focused on what he is doing, what "we're" watching, or what "we" should do....I need to have ME only time because its like a mind break. I need the same as you, peace and quiet!!

Most nights I get lucky because I get home first, and I can make dinner for us, eat, and relax (he gets home too late for me to wait & eat w/him)...and its perfect because I get my time to sit on the couch, post on LIF, do whatever...alone.

I don't think you'll feel that w/your child. Well, I'm sure you'll need time for yourself every now and then, but I think it will be different. Its a different kind of love and you'll know that the baby NEEDS you. I guess we'll both see soon enough!!

No, it sounds completely normal. Also, enjoy any alone-time you can have now, because there will be less of it soon.

I feel like this sometimes unpregnant. Like you, I talk to people all day long, and my job is very busy, lots of running around for meetings, etc. So sometimes, I really need some quiet time for myself.

It sounds like you just need some time to yourself. If you tell DH that, he will probably understand.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it, pregnant or not. We all need our alone time to regroup.

Thanks ladies. I'm better today but I think it really is I don't have any alone time during the day and when I get home, it's all about together time with my DH. I keep forgetting to make time for me. Maybe I can schedule some in next week!
