Your hospital bag
I am having an issue on deciding what to wear in the hospital. I got two cute pairs of pjs ( capris and then short sleeve shirts) but the shirt isn't long so I don't know if I should get something else.
If you have pics of what you will be wearing that will be even better!
Thanks!

Re: Your hospital bag
I got 2 of those since I will be BF.
In that color and dark blue
Then I have a "waffle" light weight robe.
For my "leave" of the hospital. I have that GREAT skirt with a super soft panel so wether I have a c-section or vaginal it won't bind that area.

Re: Your hospital bag
can you tell me which skirt you are talking about? Thanks!
I can't find a picture of my pjs, but I have a short sleeve shirt, and comfy capris (1 set of blue, 1 set of pink) a short sleeved robe, and slippers.

I bought it at Target on clearance last year. They don't carry it anymore. I wish they did, I love it. It's so soft and comfy.

Re: Your hospital bag
I bought a nursing gown and robe from motherhood. I had heard that a gown was best because they need to keep checking you.
And I also brought some capri yoga pants and nursing tanks with a hoodie for the daytime in case I can wear pants on the 2nd day.

I also got nursing gowns. I opted for gowns over PJs with pants b/c from what I hear the nurses & Dr are constantly checking the stitches & pants are in the way. I also have a robe, but I got a jersey knit one.
I am wearing an Old Navy tank dress, also b/c I don't want anything that will bind near my stitches. I also got shower flip-flops, and also rubber-bottom slippers.

I brought two pairs of cute pj's with button down tops and draw string pants and wore big tee shirts and sweats....honestly the last thing I cared about once I was there was looking cute.
I had an unplanned c-section and just wanted to be comfortable. Think comfort, not cute...

Re: Your hospital bag
I got a pair of Old Navy PJ bottoms and a pair of Black loose PJ bottoms and 2 longer tee shirts....
I really NEED bottoms or I feel funny.
I wanted to get a robe but didnt feel like spending $$$ on a robe for two days when I have a ratty old one at home..LOL
To come home, I got Capri black sweat pants and will probably wear a maternity cotton shirt or something....

Re: Your hospital bag
No pic, but I bought 2 mid-calf length "tank style" gowns from JCPenney that I normally wouldn't wear. They remind me of my mom when I was a kid...I bought the same style when I had DD. They were comfy, long enough and I didn't care if they got messed up.

I am definitely buying these comfy PJ's though (black)
& I'm considering this nursing PJ dress but not sure I'll be wanting to show off my legs this much Image Attachment(s):

Re: Your hospital bag
Just an FYI.
If you end up having a c-section - DO NOT wear your cute pj's until after your first trip to the bathroom following surgery!!!!! Sorry if TMI, but you will make a HUGE mess - you will be passing a lot of blood and will be moving so slowly that most likely you'll ruin whatever pants/skirt you're wearing - and you'll trash the bathroom floor - but they expect that.
Wear the cute pj's the next day when you're not bleeding as heavily.

Re: Your hospital bag
Also, Q....do you shower right after delivery? Or do they clean you up a bit?
