What can cause continued numbness in the arm?

And it progressively gets worse.

I would think a circulation problem...
However, does she have a baby? After I had my son, my left arm would get numb from holding him while I fed him. It got worse for a while and then stopped...I hope she is ok!

For me it was a pinched nerve.
Yeah...I had numbness once with tingling and a pins and needles sensation and it turned out to be a "bruised" nerve.
ETA: I wore a brace around my elbow (that was the problem area) as per my MD

this happens to me too but around my wrists. and at night when i'm sleeping i find that my arm tends to fall asleep also...but i think that ones cause DH sleeps on it!
