37 week update!
I too just got back from the Dr. and my BioPhysical Profile -- I scored a "10". Baby was moving around a LOT. Everything is measuring well, wt. is 6lbs 12 oz. NO effacement or dilation yet.
Me thinks baby is comfy and we will go the full 40.

Its a scored test. Highest is ten
The assign points to a few factors
Practice breathing ( babys cannot breath yet, but their chests move in and out to practice, its cool to see), Then the Amniotic fluid levels , then the Movements and also the Reflexs ( make sure they have a grasping reflex) ....
Sometimes they do a non stress test with it ( just listening to the babys heartbeat and marking the movement, and seeing what the heart rate is doing during times of movement)
The bio physicals are usually done for lack of fetal movement, Higher maternal age, or if theres a measurement issue ( baby measuring large or small) or Amniotic fluid issues.
I have been having them done for about 6-7 weeks now and they are fast. I pass most of the time , meaning All the factors are good, except when my Amniotic FLuid is too high, then like the other day, b/c of that I failed it, which just meant longer on the monitor for heartrate and more detailed Bio physical next week.
