Another baby gift question....
There ius something off our registry that we never got -- and a friend called the day OF the shower to say she couldn't make it - she was sick. But she said she would send the gift. So, I am pretty sure she got us this gift (the Aveeno basket) - but she hasn't mailed it. It's been 3 weeks now.
Should I give up and just go get it myself? I am thinking yes.
But, who does this?? Weird, right?

Can you politely talk to her and just let her know you didn't receive her gift. Just mention you are afraid it got caught in the mail.

We don't speak often -- so I think I will do that, just get it myself. Since it is lotions and shampoo and soap I am sure I will use it anyway.
Just thoguht it was weird - I mean, you already bought it, why not just send it??

I still have 5 things off my registry I never got and they have been there a while ...we had 3 people not show for the shower and assumed it was them, but are not sure.
We are waiting another week or two or so and if nothing, we will get ourselves,
Its weird!

Yes, I have 2 items that were bought off my registry but I never received them. One of them was purchased at the same time as 2 other items I received from someone so I was worried BRU forgot to mail the 3rd item. I called BRU but there is nothing they can do without an order number. I feel weird asking the individual if they bought the 3rd item so I'm just going to buy it myself.

I have to say, I"m a little guilty of this  I just got so busy that I didn't mail it out. I eventually did, after the baby was born with an addtional gift though.
I'd say, pick it up yourself since it's something you are going to run out of and need addtional products anyway. (I think you've already come to this conclusion though)

I ordered a registry gift for someone at BRU and then found out they never got it!!!! In your situation, call the place where you are registered and ask for information about the purchase (was it in store? online?).
