Re: what is an ultrascreen and levelII
I think that we all tend to refer to the NT test (to determine risk of Down Syndrome) as the ultrascreen...usually between 11 - 13 weeks.
The level II is an anatomy sonogram (time varies by person and doc - but around the 20th week) where they look at the baby's organs and body - take measurements and can tell you sex if you want.
* Edited to change NT timeline.

Actually the ultra screen or Nuchal Translucency is done between 11-13 weeks. It is a sonogram that measures some type of fluid or something or the other by the baby's neck to determine if the baby is at risk for Down Syndrome's or other diseases.

Re: what is an ultrascreen and levelII
The ultrascreen also can involve bloodwork to determine you & DH's change of passing along certain genetic disorders.
The measurements they take at the ultrascreen are also similar to some of the measurements they do at the level II. I had the Nuchal folds test, the eye socket, cranial, femoral and many other organs measured at the Level II. The difference being that you are into your 2nd trimester, so if heaven forbid you are in a position to make any decisions about the PG they are more limited.
